William C. Foster founded Crane Rental Service, Inc. in 1965 in its original location of Tustin, California. Bill started the company with just one conventional eight-ton crane which he ingeniously converted into a remote controlled unit.
It was his enterprising spirit that led the company from its humble beginnings to a rapid-expanding fleet of cranes. A larger facility quickly became essential and in 1974 Crane Rental Service moved to its current location in Orange, California.
This centrally located facility enabled the company to expand the number and size of cranes in its fleet and to add additional staff members who brought with them an enormous amount of wealth and knowledge in the crane industry.
For well over 25 years three of Bill’s children, Cathy, Greg and Lori have been running the business on a daily basis.
